The full look book for Mark Fast’s collaboration with Canadian leather retailer Danier has been released. The Canadian-born designer previewed looks from the capsule collection during his mainline show at London Fashion Week in February, and now the final seven pieces have been revealed.
Steering away from the skimpy, skin-tight knitwear that Fast is famous for, the collection is almost exclusively fashioned in black leather. The pair of cropped dungarees will go down well amongst the fiercely tomboyish, as will the boxy black leather jacket with funnel neck and chunky fastenings. But equally there’s plenty of sex appeal in the pair of LBD’s (leather, of course) with cord detailing running along the side seems. The stand-out piece for me, though, is the fur-lined hooded coat. Somewhere between a parka and a cape, it makes goth chic look very wearable indeed.
There are some hits in this Bergdorf Goodman fall 20ǫ campaign. Hits like a paisley Albeta Ferretti number that gracefully dusts the shoulder blade; a Vince feathery fur coat paired with chocolate brown lambskin leggings and elegant kitten heels; and a Burberry Prorsum pantsuit in green Donegal tweed that, particularly when paired with bold red lips and curls, looks like it could be a ’70s update on a Second World War uniform. At other times those same curls are a little too much, and the styling edges gently across the line between sophisticated and dowdy. Eniko Mihalik can do youthful glamour, can do sex, qualities that are a little wasted on looks Bergdorf Goodman is seemingly selling to a more reserved clientele. In the department store wars, Saks put Eniko to better use.
Truly dramatic couture clothing calls for truly dramatic presentation: and if such is the truth than don’t Amato Haute Couture know it. Designer Furne One’s collection of sandy hues and electric blues couldn’t be better suited to the sweeping desert landscapes as photographed by Tina Patni, so dramatic against the clothing that they might well be scenes from 1962′s Lawrence of Arabia.
It was a moment that I didn’t see coming whilst I sat through the Lisa Blue spring 2011 catwalk at Australian fashion week, but the swimsuit below fast became the most popular photo on our publication. And it still is. Not because it’s the most loved 2011 swimsuit, anything but. Instead it’s the swimsuit that caused the most outrage, resulting in hundreds of abusive comments being left on Fashionising.com.
Time and time again while covering the men’s components of Milan and Paris fashion weeks we touched on it: that dominant, relaxed aesthetic that men who are tired of the crotch hugging, thigh squishing feel of the overt skinny cut have to look forwards to amongst autumn / fall 썛 fashions. And beyond. Men’s fashion simply doesn’t move so fast that one can peg these forthcoming emergence of relaxed tailoring to a sole season, nor even a year, and it’s highly likely that we’ll see this interpretation of men’s fashion feature amongst spring 2012′s fashions and through most of 2012 itself.
A relaxed fit for men is, of course, nothing new. Loose layering, drop crotches and (avert your gaze) baggy jeans have been with us for some time now. But a line has to be drawn in the sand. The relaxed cuts of past years are distinctly different from the relaxed tailoring we’re about the encounter. One could rightly argue that this new men’s trends evolves from the old, but they are certainly not one in the same.
So what are elements of this men’s trend? And is it the style for 2011 and 2012, or simply a style? Read on to find all the details after the break.

If much of 2011′s fashion has been interested in 70s glamour than Elie Tahari’s Resort collection has been truly swept away by it. And glamour is the key word: this is nighttime retro goodness from the floor-length gauzy gowns to a sharp white pant suit. But while part of the collection reaches that exotic Resort high note, it falls down a little where it gets too casual. Case in point, this outfit which proves that wide leg pants are by far best when balanced out by a more streamlined top half. A baggy top with baggy pants simply won’t produce a flattering outcome.

Taking care of some modeling duties, Jennifer Lopez was spotted at a photo call in Paris, France earlier today (April 26).
The “Waiting for Tonight” songstress looked lovely as she waved to the paparazzi over a balcony at the Hotel de Crillon at Place de la Concorde.
In related news, J. Lo says she’d be a big fan of snagging a guest appearance on the hit FOX musical drama “Glee.”
She explained, “I sat down with show creator Ryan Murphy and we talked about me doing something on Glee. We want to. We want to do it, though timing may be an issue. They have it all mapped out for the next eight episodes, whatever is airing right now. So he’s like, let’s wait and do it really right when you do come on.”

Ready to protect her assets from ex-husband Jesse James, Sandra Bullock is trying to add a pair of out-of-state lawyers to her staff in Texas.
According to TMZ reports, “Joseph Kibre, a California family law expert, has filed a motion with the Texas judge handling Bullock’s divorce asking for permission to work on the case.”
Along with Kibre, Miss Bullock’s case has also attracted Edward Howell Crosby, who is based out of the Louisiana office of the Houston-based firm representing the Oscar winning actress.
As judges decide whether out of state attorneys can join in on a case by case basis, Sandra’s still waiting to find out if her beefed up team is a go.
